Implementation, evidence and next work
A working foundation.
A developer preview next.
The protocol has executable end-to-end workflows. The current goal is a reproducible public developer release; it is not a production healthcare service or certification.
125 tests verified on 2026-10-05. 0.1.0-dev.11 is the current source version. Read the detailed verification record.
| Area | Status | What this means |
|---|---|---|
| Core exchange | Working prototype | Bidirectional encrypted payloads, signed credentials, discovery, scoped Host tokens and conditional approval. |
| Clinical data & synchronization | Working prototype | Six expanded clinical types, versions/history, ordered queues, paged reads and durable client mirrors. |
| Portability & notifications | Working prototype | Encrypted backups, atomic restore, coordinated Host transfer and durable protected callbacks. |
| SDK interoperability | Verified in three runtimes | TypeScript, Python and .NET packages and authenticated negative cases. |
| Clinical validation | Finite coverage | Pinned offline HL7 validation and durable jobs; broad licensed clinical vocabularies remain open. |
| Host operations | Developer lab | Replaceable SQLite-compatible storage boundary, private snapshots and health checks. Production infrastructure remains open. |
| Public developer release | Publication in progress | Apache 2.0 license and versioned SDK downloads are available. Public Git source and custom-domain setup remain open. |
| Production readiness | Open release gates | Independent security assessment, real vendor interoperability, approval/evidence integrations and operational hardening. |
What remains, in order
- Finish the public Git release and connect
oprp.convey.care. - Broaden clinical profiles and licensed terminology; add attachments and larger transfer workflows.
- Complete deployment operations, secure key custody and patient/representative approval integrations.
- Validate with independent implementers and real healthcare vendors; complete external security review.
- Freeze the interoperable protocol baseline before building Convey’s EMR.
